I am an IT professional and a self-described "Renaissance artist" who blends technical excellence with an entrepreneurial, DIY spirit. My background spans across enterprise IT environments, independent media production, and small business ownership.
The Technologist
My technical journey is grounded in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and a passion for teamwork. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. To further validate my expertise, I have earned a robust portfolio of certifications, including CompTIA (Security+, Network+, A+), Linux Essentials (LPI), Azure Fundamentals, ITIL 4 Foundations, and Google IT Support.
I specialize in hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud technologies, and relational databases like SQL and MySQL. My technical toolkit also extends to AI prompt engineering, Python, and modern web design. Professionally, I hold a FEMA clearance and have maintained rigorous quality control standards, highlighted by achieving a 98% accuracy rate in audited processes as a Disaster Housing Inspector. Currently, I provide front-line technical support at Navy Federal Credit Union, where my dedication to security, privacy, and service earned me the company-wide Employee of the Month recognition in July 2026.
The Entrepreneur & Creative
Long before I was building IT infrastructure, I was building my own businesses. Born in Compton, California, my entrepreneurial drive was sparked by hip hop culture. After relocating to Georgia to attend Clark Atlanta University, I co-founded the hip hop band First Team and launched First Team Music—a media company functioning as a label, booking agency, and Android app development firm. Operating under the name Quanstar, I spent over two decades managing client relationships, utilizing data analytics for content management, and consulting on strategic business growth. As an independent creator, I have released over 15 music projects, authored books like Water From Turnips, created the comic series They Told Me This Would Sell, and executive-produced the documentary Do It!.
My entrepreneurial track record also extends beyond media. From September 2017 to April 2024, I operated as the Owner and Baker of Family's Favorite Foods in Decatur, Georgia. By analyzing performance data to identify KPIs, integrating a modern POS system, and building the company website, I helped drive a 2300% business growth post-pandemic.
